UPDATE: Rescue Crews Make Contact with Missing Hikers
MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Search and Rescue crews spent Sunday evening looking for three teenage hikers lost in the woods. It happened around 5 miles south of Decatur.
Crews tell us the were walking in the woods when they got lost. After nearly two hours, they located the teens, but they were stuck across a creek from rescuers.
Eventually, crews were able to rescue the teens with a helicopter. After they were reunited with their families, they were taken to Decatur General Hospital. They were all expected to be OK.
