Greg Ray Reinstated As Sheffield Police Chief
SHEFFIELD, Ala. (WHNT) – Former Sheffield Police Chief Greg Ray is back on the job. He has been reinstated to his previous position.
Sheffield’s Civil Service Board voted to fully reinstate Ray following a series of hearings. The board announced its decision today. Read the letter.
Chief Ray was terminated in October after Mayor Ian Sanford filed seven accusations of misconduct and miscommunication.
