Decatur Shooting Sends One To Hospital

DECATUR, Ala.  (WHNT) – Police responded to a shooting Monday afternoon where they say a grandfather shot his grandson.

Officers responded to a call around 4:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Lamar Street in southwest Decatur.

Police say a man was shot in the upper arm.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Decatur Police took several witnesses in for questioning.

Officers made an arrest, but say no charges have been filed at this time.
