ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Albertville Police arrested a man for a May 2012 murder.

Larry Reginald Beason, 42, is accused of stabbing 28-year-old Anshika Ronae Radford to death at her home at Governors Place Apartments on George Wallace Drive in Albertville.

Police received a call Saturday May 26, 2012, about the possibility of a deceased person in one of the apartments, and found Radford dead from multiple stab wounds.

“A lot of it was because of witnesses that we had that described vehicles and stuff like that that led us to this subject,” Chief Doug Pollard said about leads in the investigation.

“We are always telling people, if you see something strange, call us, let us know,” he said.

“We can’t be everywhere at every given time, but by these people being witnesses to what they saw or might have seen that morning, it led us to this.”

Pollard said Radford and Beason knew each other but declined to elaborate on specific details of their relationship or a motive for the killing, as detectives to uncover evidence.

Radford worked at Tyson Foods in Albertville, and Pollard said she previously lived in Birmingham and Gadsden, and had family in Birmingham and Georgia.

“It’s been pretty tough on them; they’ve previously endured some of this before,” he said.

“It’s very important to get closure for these family members and victims out here, and it’s very important to try to solve their case as quick as possible,” Pollard said.

Cases like this are often lengthy investigations, and the police chief said it is not like what you see on television where the case is closed in 30 minutes.

“My detective division has put in a lot of long hours investigating this, and it’s very important that all the time they’ve donated putting into this that something come out of it.”
