Icy Roads Cause More Wrecks
MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Icy road conditions seemed to be the cause of a number of wrecks yesterday across North Alabama. Those road problems continue today.
Emergency crews responded to over a dozen accidents already this morning in Madison County between County Line Road and I-65.
One police officer said he even saw his own car get hit while filing out a report on another accident.
The problems began around 3:30 this morning, when fog caused a thin layer of ice to form on the roads.
Road Closure:
Westbound I-565 at Mooresville has been shut down temporarily due to the icy road conditions.
