Florence Murder Suspect Denied Youthful Offender Status

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A Florence teenager charged with murder will be tried as an adult, and will not be able to claim youthful offender status.
Lauderdale County Judge Mike Jones denied youthful offender status for Autumn Wood on Thursday.
Wood is accused of stabbing Brooklin Hollins to death with a kitchen knife during a fight.
Friends and family members for both girls packed the courtroom this morning.
Wood’s murder trial is set to begin April 15.
