MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The superintendent of Marshall County Schools, is asking the county commission to look into the idea of adding a few to car tag renewals to pay for school resource officers.   Tim Nabors asked the commission last week.

Nabors says the school system is already running on a bare bones budget.   The $25 fee would raise more than a million dollars a year.   Nabors says officers cost about $50,000 per year.   There are 16 schools in the county system.

The commission says they want public input into the idea before making a decision.
