Decatur Boys Beat Hartselle 67-56

Hartselle, Ala. (WHNT) - The hardwood battle for I-65 belonged to Decatur Monday night.

Much of the first quarter was epitomized when Kaleb Smith set up just in front of the Hartselle bench and knocked down a triple, part of an 8-2 run for the Red Raiders.  Though Tobias Mitchell tried to stop the bleeding late in the frame, Smith kept it going for Decatur.

Final score: Decatur def. Hartselle 67-56.
