Man Drowns in Colbert County

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (WHNT) — A man drowned while fishing in Colbert County Saturday.

The Colbert County Coroner identifies the victim as Kenneth Green.

According to the coroner, Green was in his early 70′s.

The Colbert County Dive Team responded to the scene, however fisherman nearby already located the man.

Those fisherman called 9-1-1.

Florence Police helped get the man’s boat off the river and Colbert County Emergency Management officials are also assisting with the scene.
