7-Vehicle Wreck Shuts Down Interstate

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — State Troopers shut down part of I-65 last night because of a multi-vehicle wreck.

It happened a little after 9:30 p.m. at mile marker 305 in Cullman County. Troopers say it started when the driver of a pickup traveling southbound lost control, hit the cable barrier and wrecked.

Behind the truck was an 18-wheeler that tipped over on it’s side. Five other vehicles collided. No one was injured.

Troopers said alcohol may have been a factor in the wreck.
