Shoals Area Crime Stoppers: Detectives Close In On Suspect, Need Help With Identification

Florence Police were closing in on a criminal but then detectives say, they lost contact with the man.

Now, they need your help to identify the man seen in surveillance video, stealing an expensive handbag.

According to detectives, they were closing in on the man accused of stealing a high end purse from Bargain Hunt.  Police say the suspect contacted the store.  However, now, detectives say the man has stopped cooperating.

Police say after the suspect made sure the coast was clear, he pried open the glass counter and made off with a Gucci bag.

Then, detectives say the suspect got the woman he was with involved in the crime. According to investigators, the woman stuck the Gucci purse inside her bag, in order to sneak it out of the store.

Investigators say Jerry Austin Swindle has warrants out for his arrest for theft of property.Jerry_Swindle  

Next police want Elizabeth Renee Owens off the streets for breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, and theft of property.


Finally, investigators need your help finding James Ronny Matthews for attempt to commit a controlled substance crime, and theft of property.
