Sex Offender Arrested In Morgan County

HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office says that they arrested a convicted sex offender on Friday.

The Sheriff’s Office says they executed a search warrant after getting information that 57-year-old Gregory Ray Battles was living in Morgan County.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Battles was previously convicted of 1st degree sexual abuse, with the victim being under the age of twelve.

The Sheriff’s Office says Battles failed to register in Morgan County and was found living with four children at the residence.

Battles was arrested and charged with failure to register as a sexual offender, failure to notify a residency change of address and 4 counts of living with a minor as a sexual offender.
