FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) - A woman was treated at the hospital, after Florence Police say she tried to protect her property.

According to detectives, two men snatched the woman's purse at Wal-Mart.

Investigators say the passengers of a Kia Sentra first stalked their target by watching a woman put groceries into her car.

While she was distracted, detectives say the man in the front seat got out and stole the woman's purse.

“She courageously got up and still attempted to defend her property, then she was drug by the vehicle several feet as it was leaving,” said Detective Justin Wright.  “Therefore turning into a robbery versus just a purse snatching.”

This week’s Shoals Area Most Wanted comes from the Sheffield Police Department.

First, detectives say Teeara Stanbeck is accused of assault.
