Lee Wins 30th Huntsville Times Classic
Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) – The 2009 Huntsville Times Classic Final truly was a classic. Future Auburn Tiger Josh Langford helped propel the Lee Generals to a victory over Sparkman.
This year’s championship game was a rematch of 2009, and though may not have been as dramatic, it was still one of the more memorable match-ups the tournament had ever hosted.
More than 1,300 fans inside the Huntsville High gym, with several more outside peaking through any window they could find, watched as Jay Thomas scored 21 points despite the flu, Khwan Fore hanging 10 points and grabbing eight rebounds as #2 Lee knocked off #5 Sparkman 71-61.
