Fire Destroys Mobile Home in Lawrence County

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Fire destroyed a mobile home in the Speake community Thursday night.

The Speake Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire call on County Road 205, around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.  When a firefighter who lived nearby arrived on scene, the home was engulfed in flames.  All that is left of the home is a shell.

The home was unoccupied at the time.  Firefighters stayed on the scene for two hours putting out hot spots.  The cause is under investigation.
