Update: Police Identify Man Hit By 18-Wheeler Along I-565

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police say the man hit by an 18-wheeler Thursday morning has been identified.

Theodore Franklin Shelton, 51, died when he was hit by the truck along I-565 near the Glenn Hearn Boulevard exit, the turn to Huntsville International Airport.  The incident happened about 9:30 a.m.

Shelton was from Arkansas.

Police say the driver of the 18-wheeler will not be charged.
