R.A. Hubbard Student Arrested, Charged With Making Terrorist Threats
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – After last Friday’s school shooting in Connecticut, authorities are taking any type of threat very seriously. In Lawrence County, a student is in jail for allegedly making a terrorist threat.
Corinthian Carnell Gilchrist of Town Creek is a student at R.A. Hubbard School. He is 18 years old.
Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell says a school resource officer learned of comments allegedly made by Gilchrist. One statement was that he was going to harm students and teachers at the school.
Deputies arrested Gilchrist on Tuesday. The Sheriff says there were no acts of violence committed.
