Two Employees And An Officer Injured After Shootings At St. Vincent’s Hospital
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WHNT) – According to several media outlets, including our news partner WBMA, a gunman is dead after being shot by a Birmingham police officer.
The shooting happened just after 4 a.m. on the 5th floor of St. Vincent’s Hospital. Two St. Vincent’s employees were also injured however their injuries are described as non-life threatening.
According to WBMA, Birmingham police spokesperson Sgt. Johnny Williams says officers saw the gunman in a hallway and exchanged gunfire. The gunman died inside the hospital.
