Helping Domestic Violence Victims
The “A Call for Hope” drive is underway. Verizon, Crisis Services of North Alabama and the Huntsville Police Department are helping those people who are the victims of domestic violence.
People are encouraged to donate no-longer used wireless phones, batteries, and accessories to Verizon’s HopeLine program. The program provides grants and phones to domestic violence agencies. You can donate the accessories to Verizon stores year round and also at the Huntsville Police Department.
If you know if anyone that needs help because of a domestic violence situation, Crisis Services of North Alabama’s number is (256) 716-100. You, or they, can call toll-free at 1-800-799-SAFE.
