HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – So many times, our men and women who come home from war need help making the transition from military to civilian life. Groups such as Still Serving Veterans helps them do that. And now, a familiar country music artist is coming to Huntsville next year to help those who have served. You can start buying tickets at 10 a.m. on December 14th.
Go ahead and mark March 22nd, 2013 on your calendar. That’s the night on of the biggest stars in country music, and at 6 feet 6 inches, he is a big star. Trace Adkins will blow the roof off the Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center in downtown Huntsville. The American Freedom Foundation is bringing him to town for the 2nd annual benefit concert for our men and women of the armed services. It’s a great way to show your support for them and enjoy a great night of country music.
Trace Adkins would be the first to tell you, “This Ain’t No Thinkin’ Thing.” The night will benefit Still Serving Veterans and other Huntsville area veterans organizations.
Trace Adkins has racked up more than 30 hits on the singles charts, four Grammy nominations and five Academy of Country Music and Country Music Television awards in his 15 years as a country artist. He loves doing shows that benefit our men and women who serve. Nothing says that better than his song, “Arlington.”
Jana Kramer will open for Trace that night. The singer/songwriter and actress recently debuted on the country music scene with the song “Why Ya Wanna.” It was her first hit and it went gold and on to number three on the charts!
Tickets will make a great Christmas gift or stocking stuffer.
“It sure would, and we’re so excited,” says Still Serving Veterans’ Sheila McFerran. “We’re hoping to fill it up with 5,000 people and what a great way to buy those great gifts, stocking stuffers for your loved one.”
And if you buy your tickets before December 24th, you’ll get a 10 percent Christmas early bird discount! Ticket prices range from $25 to $75 and you can buy them at the Von Braun Center box office, ticketmaster.com, or the American Freedom Foundation’s website. Enter the promotional code AFF.
