ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Most of us will only see 12-12-12 once in our lifetimes.  Yet, Mary Adamson of Albertville is celebrating her second.  She is also celebrating her 100th birthday.

Adamson was born on December 12, 1912.   She's lived her entire life in the Marshall and Etowah County areas.   She was a school teacher until she retired in 1975.

She now lives at Merrill Gardens in Albertville.   She's still very active and has read 80 books this year alone.

She says her secret to a long life is really nothing she's done.   She says it's just good genes.
