ULA Launches Atlas V Carrying Unmanned Space Satellite

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (WHNT) – ULA launched an Atlas V rocket shortly after 12 p.m. central time Tuesday.  It’s carrying an Air Force Orbital Test Vehicle, the X-37B.

The launch took place at 12:03 p.m. central time.

The X-37B is a prototype unmanned space plane.  It supports space experimentation, risk reduction, and concept of operations development for long duration and reusable space vehicle technologies.
