Therapy Dogs Visit UAHuntsville Students During Final Exams
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – UAHuntsville students got a nice break from the stress of final exams over the last few days.
Two dogs from Therapy Partners visited campus so students could pet and play with them.
The idea is to give students some relief from final exams.
“We started coming out here with the shootings and I just thought if my child was here I would want somebody to come and let them hug on a dog, let them release whatever emotions they have,” said Stephanie Sherman. “And the same thing with the exams. Being able to let them take a deep breath and say ‘okay, I feel much better now’.”
The dogs visited campus on Friday and Monday.
