Fatal Accident in Madison County: Driver Trapped in Burning Wreckage

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – An investigation is underway into a fatal fiery crash from early Friday morning.

Authorities say the accident happened around 12:30 when a car ran off the pavement of Northbound Highway 53, near Pulaski Pike.

The vehicle slammed into a driveway culvert and then caught fire.

Authorities say the driver was trapped inside the wreckage.

The cause is under investigation.  The victim has not been identified yet.
