HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Hartselle Police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery.  It happened around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at Bank Independent on Highway 31.

According to Hartselle Police, the suspect told the teller at a drive-thru window he had a gun and demanded money.  The teller complied and the man ran off with the cash.

The robber had a towel or t-shirt over his face.  Hartselle Police say they do not believe it is the same man who has robbed several banks in North Alabama over the past few weeks.
