HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Alabama Media Group, the new parent company of AL.com and The Huntsville Times, announced a move for its Huntsville employees this week. The Huntsville Times building on Memorial Parkway is also now up for sale.
Tuesday, the company announced the new hub for AL.com and The Huntsville Times will be located at 200 Westside Square, across from the Madison County Courthouse.
The hub will be two stories and occupy 11,700 square feet once building renovation is completed.
“We chose this location to be in the heart of Huntsville. Huntsville is extremely important to the future of The Huntsville Times and AL.com,” said Cindy Martin, Alabama Media Group President. “It is the birth city of AL.com 15 years ago and will continue to fuel significant growth based on the tech savvy population and people who care about their community.”
The Huntsville Times building on Memorial Parkway is now for sale. Employees who work in the building, for Alabama Media Group’s Huntsville hub location, will move to the Westside Square location in Spring 2013.
The sale of The Times building is being handled by EGS Commercial Realty, an affiliate of Cushman & Wakefield.
