The Junior League of Huntsville (JLH) is asking the public to join in on one of its most rewarding projects. The Butterfly Project has been able to transform dozens of young women from area high schools in a way they'll never forget. Committee members work closely with guidance counselors and teachers at 14 schools to identify deserving girls who demonstrate commitment to academia, leadership qualities, and an ability to persevere in the face of hardship. The counselors select 15 girls from their respective schools, all of whom get to shop at the Butterfly Boutique.

The JLH is asking for help in these amazing transformations once again and gladly accepts the following donations: new or gently used formal dresses and evening bags, new jewelry and shoes, monetary donations for scholarships and other expenses, restaurant and salon gift certificates, and new or used laptop computers. If you would like to contribute to the Butterfly Project, please contact the office of the Junior League of Huntsville or visit  Aside from monetary contributions, the following items represent the greatest needs:

  • Dresses, size 14 and up (any size is appreciated)
