A clubhouse memorial put up in the Shoals honors an elderly murder victim.

Elbert Davis played golf at the Spring Creek course every day and now, his putter dawns the walls in memory of the man.

“They look at it every time they come in,” said manager, Denise Province. “We`re not going to forget him down here and we don`t want people out there to forget.”

As Province remembers the man she called “Possum”, she has a final plea to the community.

“I know someone out there knows what happened, and I just hope they have a conscience and will come forward and will let someone know about it,” said Province.

The Tuscumbia Police Department continues to investigate this case.
