Ice Rink Opens At Big Spring Park

Leaders hope the rink can drive more traffic downtown.

Downtown 47 President Olly Orton says it’s important for businesses and business recruitment, “If you talk to the large employers whether it be Huntsville Hospital or all the employers on Redstone Arsenal or out in Research Park, they’ll say when they’re recruiting people in their 20′s or early 30′s, they’re looking for quality of life issues.  They want a vibrant downtown.

The downtown skating rink will contribute to that effort.
