HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Parkway Place Mall and Madison Square Mall in Huntsville will be packed with shoppers over the next month. If you’re going to join them, do yourself a favor and make sure to visit the websites for both locations first!

The local shopping centers have both beefed up offerings online to help shoppers plan trips to the mall more effectively and maximize time.

“When you have a plan and you go in and you know exactly where you want to shop,” said Jana Kuner, Parkway Place group marketing director, “You’ll be able to get to more of the stores.”

At the shopping center websites you’ll find mall directories, lists of all stores – including phone numbers for those stores, so you can call ahead to see when they may be offering “early bird” specials or other deals – as well as a full coupon page for each location.

For the smartphone set, the local malls have also added enhanced mobile features to their websites, making it easier to navigate suroundings on the go. There’s also a new app available called Santa’s Fun.

“The app actually lets the kids go in and send text messages to Santa throughout the season,” Kuner said, “[Just] in case they forget something while they’re here.”

Adults can also use the app to keep tabs on holiday shopping lists as well as play holiday tunes. So make sure to look for it in your device’s app store before you head out to meet Santa in person.
