RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Police continue to search for a man who escaped their grasp Friday night after a twenty mile chase.
According to police the man they were chasing has a long history of sexual related charges and arrests and they need him off the streets.
Friday night, Russellville Police received a call of a possible break-in at Security Financial in the Franklin Square Shopping Center.
Police say employees were inside the business with the door locked just before 9 when a man approached the front door.
"Went to jerking on the door, and then actually took out his private parts and showed them to the people in the business," said Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett.
Hargett says police stopped Alfred Warden and his girlfriend as they were leaving the parking lot.
Moments after a police officer pulled in behind the truck, Hargett says the truck took off, leading police on a two county car chase, ending north of Hamilton, with Warden escaping on foot.
"Obviously he's not right for him to be doing the things that he's doing. It's a repeated pattern, so obviously he hasn't learned his lesson," said Hargett.
Police say warden has past convictions in Mississippi for voyeurism and indecent exposure.
In October, investigators say Warden was arrested at Wal-Mart in Moulton and charged with two counts of indecent exposure there.
Police in Marion and Franklin counties are still searching for Alfred Warden.
If you know his whereabouts you are asked to call the Shoals Area Crime Stoppers at 256-386-8685.
