Arab’s ‘Christmas In The Park’ Begins This Weekend
ARAB, ALA. (WHNT) – For those looking for some holiday cheer, Arab’s annual ‘Christmas in the Park’ light display is free. It will begin again the day after Thanksgiving and run through New Year’s Eve.
“We’ve got around two million lights,” says Steve Hallman, Arab’s parks and recreation director. “We’ve got lights in nets that we’ve made over the years. And we’ve got free-standing pieces that are up.”
The park also has an historic Santa’s Village with 10 buildings, each with activities, crafts and food. This area of the park is $5 per person, and children 2 and under get in free. Santa’s Village is open every Friday and Saturday night, November 23-24 through December 14-15 from 6 to 9 p.m. Come meet Santa and bring your camera to take pictures.
