Alabama Says They Are Taking Auburn Seriously

Tuscaloosa, Ala. (WHNT) – Alabama comes into Iron Bowl week as roughly 31.5-point favorites.  It’s the largest spread since Las Vegas began placing bets on the Iron Bowl.

The argument for the wide involves both programs going in different directions.  While Alabama is #2 in the latest BCS Standings and looking to win the West for the second time in four years, Auburn ranks near the bottom of college football in offense and almost dead-last in every statistical defensive category.

After beating Western Carolina, the Tide says none of those extremes matter; it’s a rivalry game and Auburn will come ready to play.
