Buying tickets for a concert, festival or music event used to involve heading to Ticketmaster, or in more recent years, companies like Ticketfly and Eventbrite. Now the online space is changing and new offerings like Tikly aim to make finding tickets for your favorite bands easier than ever.

Tikly is a new ticketing service through Facebook. Bands and venues can sell tickets directly from their Facebook pages – without fans being re-routed away from the social network. In addition to ease of use, Tikly also offers low add-on fees to tickets so bands (especially those just trying to build a following) can feel good about the prices they charge fans.

In addition to convenience, fans also get to buy tickets without the costly fees that some more mainstream ticket services tack on.

Emma Peterson, founder and CEO of Tikly, said she created the site because she noticed there was “really no good solution for us [for local bands] selling tickets.”

“I clearly think that there will be great things for us,” said Peterson, “I intend to grow a very large and very transparent, friendly, company.”
