MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - A man was found dead in a wrecked car Wednesday morning on Hobbs Island Road.  It happened at the intersection of Hegaburrow Road.

Several agencies responded, including Alabama State Troopers, HEMSI, New Hope Police and the New Hope Volunteer Fire Department.  We understand the Madison County Sheriff's Office has taken over the case.

One vehicle was involved, and the driver was the only occupant.  He died at the scene.  It was believed the car apparently left the road and overturned in front of the Madison County Rowing Club building, however, investigators haven't released further details yet.
