18 Wheeler Overturns on I-65

ARDMORE, Ala. (WHNT) – Drivers may be rerouted and face delays after an 18 wheeler overturns on I-65 south early Monday morning.  Emergency crews responded to the wreck around 2:00 a.m. at mile marker 366 near the Tennessee state line.

According to officers, the 18 wheeler overturned blocking all south bound lanes on I-65. Emergency Crews found the driver lying in the road. MedFlight airlifted him to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.

South bound lanes of I-65 will remain closed until crews can clear the scene. Drivers can expect to be rerouted through Ardmore while the the 18 wheeler is being removed.
