Huntsville Police: Employee Hides in Restaurant, Drinks Stolen Alcohol
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A restaurant employee is accused of hiding inside the business overnight and enjoying the alcohol. The only problem: the burglar alarm went off.
At 3:20 a.m. officers responded to Mezza Luna, located at 2724 Carl T. Jones Drive in Huntsville. On arrival, officers found employee Jason Gowing inside the business. According to a news release, Gowing was intoxicated and had been drinking restaurant’s alcohol from the bar throughout the night.
Police believe Gowing purposely hid inside the business during closing. Gowing is charged with burglary, 3rd degree.
