Huntsville Church Musician Charged With Sex Abuse
MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Blake Jerrod Earl is in police custody. He’s charged with sex abuse. Police accuse the Madison County church musician of inappropriate behavior with a teenager.
Investigators with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation arrested Earl on Monday. Earl is no longer inside the Madison County Detention Center. Early is now in the Coffee County Jail, near where police say the crime happened.
Police in Enterprise, Alabama issued a warrant for Earl’s arrest. State troopers went to Earl’s Madison County home to make the arrest.
A spokesman for the Enterprise Police Department told WHNT NEWS 19 Earl is accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl. The spokesman believes it happened back in June at a hotel in Enterprise.
WHNT NEWS 19 has learned Earl went to Enterprise for the funeral of a church member. Earl is a musician for the Solid Rock Christian Center on Winchester Road in Huntsville.
Earl appeared before a Coffee County judge during a preliminary hearing Wednesday afternoon. The judge issued a $20,000 bond to Earl.
