Colbert Heights Wins for Jesse

COLBERT HEIGHTS, Ala. (WHNT) – Sometimes when a tragedy happens, our eyes become open to the fact that football really isn’t that important. However, Friday night in Colbert Heights, we learned that football can be just what a community needs to get back on their feet.

The Wildcats decided to play their game with Phil Campbell despite the death of sophomore lineman Jesse Rainey.  Rainey was taken off life support Friday morning after an accidental shooting last weekend.

Colbert Heights not only went on with the football game, they won it! The team dedicating the victory to Jesse.
