Player Profile: Kerryon Johnson

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Anybody who knows Madison Academy football knows the offensive game plan is simple. Give the rock to Kerryon Johnson!

The sophomore back is averaging almost 11 yards per carry this season and has already rushed for 10 touchdowns. 

Johnson really emerged as one of the state’s top runners in last year’s playoffs, but a championship game loss is fueling him to get better each day. This summer, Johnson added nearly 15 pounds of muscle to his 6’1″ frame and the extra beef is paying off. Just ask every other team in class 3A Region 8 if the sophomore is better this year.
