HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Aerospace leaders from around the country have converged on the campus of UAHuntsville to attend the fifth annual Wernher von Braun Memorial Symposium.
The event begins today and goes through Thursday. This year’s title is “Space Exploration, Security and Commerce: Our Path Forward.”
Leaders from NASA and Marshall Space Flight Center will attend various panel discussions about plans for exploration. NASA Associate Administrator Robert Lightfoot, former director of MSFC, is presenting the keynote address this morning.
Other panels include commercial development and robotic and human exploration.
The event concludes Wednesday evening with a dinner at the Davidson Center at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
