TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — Tuscaloosa native and former Alabama A&M and Pittsburgh Steelers star John Stallworth was honored at Central High School by the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday. The four time pro bowler and 4-time Super Bowl Champion became a “Hometown Hall of Famer,” in the same town he grew up in.
“I was nurtured from people right here on my own street,” Stallworth said. “From my teachers, who were role models for me grade school, middle school and high school. I have a great appreciation for the value of education, how they can exponentially change our lives for the good.”
Stallworth credits Birmingham for making him the person he is today.
