Shooting on Pulaski Pike Sends One to the Hospital

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police are investigating a shooting at a gas station in the Pulaski Pike and Mastin Lake Road area.

Police say a large group of people were involved in verbal altercation in the parking lot of the gas station around 8:30 on Saturday night.

The victim told police he approached the group to see what was going on and heard a gunshot.

Authorities say the victim was shot in the arm while trying to flee from the group.

The victim was driven to the hospital where he was treated for a non life-threatening injury.

The investigation is ongoing.
