Charger Park Opens
Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) – With a simple snip of a red ribbon, a new era begins at UAHuntsville.
The school has completed construction of Charger Park, a facility that unites the baseball, softball and soccer fields.
It was also an emotional day for the school. The person who helped jumpstart the project was former Athletic Director Jim Harris. Current AD EJ Brophy took time to honor his legacy during the ceremony.
After the ribbon-cutting, UAH softball coach Les Stuedeman took on her sister, the head coach at Mississippi State, in an exhibition game. The Lady Chargers scored three runs in the sixth inning and defeated the Lady Bulldogs 4-2.
