HAZEL GREEN, Ala. (WHNT) — The Madison County Fire Marshal is investigating a house fire in the 1200 block of Wal Triana Highway just north of ready section road. Volunteer firefighters were called to the home around 6:30 this morning. When they got to the home, flames and smoke were pouring from a front room. It took fire crews about 30 minutes to put out the blaze. One woman was living in the home. She made it out of the house unharmed. The home has heavy fire damage to the front room and smoke damage throughout. The Red Cross is assisting the homeowner.
