Don Kyle Wins Decatur’s Mayoral Race

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – A familiar face will soon be in the Decatur mayor’s office again.  Don Kyle won the runoff Tuesday against challenger Carl Cole.

Here is the final vote tally:

• Don Kyle: 5,587 votes
• Carl Cole: 4,432 votes

(28 of 28 precincts reporting)

In the Decatur CIty Council District 5 race, Chuck Ard beat Allison Blackburn Akins.  With 6 of 6 precincts reporting, Ard had 1,597 votes to Akins’ 913 votes.
