Auburn, Ala. (WHNT) – One loss doesn’t always ruin a season, just ask the 2011 Alabama Crimson Tide football team.
But one loss could destroy a head coach’s career.
Auburn had two weeks to prepare for Arkansas, who had not beaten an FBS team all year, that had blowout losses of 52-0 to Alabama and 58-10 to Texas A&M.
The result was a 24-7 blowout at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Now, Auburn has lost five-straight SEC games. When you take out the close LSU loss, Auburn has been outscored in the other four games by 101 points! But Chizik says those blowouts will not mean a coaching change on the Plains.
