LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Investigators say all four men who escaped from the Lauderdale County Detention Center late Saturday night are now in custody.

Lauderdale County Sheriff Ronnie Willis says Ricky Dewayne Lawson and Robert Lee Brown were caught in Evergreen, Alabama.  He says they were going on a burglary spree breaking into homes in the area.

Wesley Lee Gibson was caught Monday night in Santa Rosa County, Florida.  Deputies say he was trying to burglarize a church.

The three men, and Damien Lee Nix, escaped from the Lauderdale County Detention Center on Saturday.  Sheriff Ronnie Willis said the men climbed through an air vent in the roof, then got outside, jumped a fence and got into a vehicle.  Ricky Lawson’s father, Ernest Earl Lawson, was waiting, according to investigators.  He was the getaway driver.

Sheriff Wilson said Ernest Lawson gave three men a small amount of money and they left his home.

Nix, Lawson and Brown were in jail on misdemeanor charges.  Gibson was waiting to be transferred to prison after being convicted of a drug charge.
