Van Hits Utility Pole In Guntersville; 8 People Hurt
GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Police say eight people were hurt when the van they were riding in hit a utility pole in Guntersville.
The wreck happened Wednesday about 4 p.m. on Blount Avenue, near the intersection of Licon. A white van with a Florida license plate hit the pole, knocking out power in the area.
Of the eight people who were hurt, one was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment and seven others were taken by ambulance to Marshall Medical Center. A ninth person in the van was not seriously hurt.
