Hokes Bluff Officer Arrested for Aggravated Child Abuse

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – According to the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, a Gadsden man has been arrested and charged with child abuse of a 5-year-old boy.

Investigators say 30-year-old Jason Barry Raley was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse, which is a felony.  Raley is a law enforcement officer with the City of Hokes Bluff.

Raley is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.

A representative from the Sheriff’s Office says they will release more information about the investigation on Wednesday.  WHNT NEWS 19 will continue to follow this story, and bring you the latest information.
